MU Day of Prayer for the Clergy, 6 November

MU Members from the Grahamstown Archdeaconry welcomed their clergy and spouses, and Cathedral parishioners.

Mama Nomakwezi Gabavana welcomed those present

Mama Wendy Mfazwe explained the purpose of the day

Prayers were said for the clergy, their spouses, and children. Tukela Xako prayed for the children

Mama Anna Mangaliso, President of the Diocesan MU, was the keynote speaker

The MU presented each clergy family with a gift to show how much they are appreciated.

Members of the MU Executive and staff were also honoured with gifts.

Special recognition for the longest-serving member of the MU, Linda Nyarhashe

The Revd Dr Percy Chinganga, Rector of the College of the Transfiguration, returned thanks on behalf of the clergy.

Beautiful music was played behind the curtain. The secret was these two students, members of the Cathedral Choir!

The event ended with the sharing of a splendid luncheon.
