Farewell to Dean Andrew and the Hunter Family, 31 January 2021

The Hunters’ last live-streamed morning service will take place at 08:30 on Sunday 31 January. Afterwards, from 11:00, parishioners and friends are invited to drive down High Street and pause in front of St George’s Chambers to say a brief goodbye to the family. Please remember to wear masks, and sorry – no hugs!

Unfortunately this year, due to Covid-19 we will not be able to hold the St George’s Fair in the format we have come to know and love. Instead, we will be having a series of fund-raising events. These are listed briefly below. For full details, click here.

Donation Drive, October 2020 – January 2021

Parishioners are encouraged to donate R200 (or more!) either as a lump sum or in monthly instalments. A big THANK YOU to those who have already donated. Please use EFT if possible, to minimize the spread of Covid-19. Donations can also be handed in at the Parish Office, or in the specially marked envelopes which are available at services in the Cathedral.

Two Cathedral parishioners, who wish to remain anonymous, have offered to give R5,000 to encourage other parishioners to donate to this Appeal. They will release this donation when parishioners’ donations have reached the figure of R10,000. As at 20 November the total of donations received was already close to meeting the target, and was only short of R1,640! A big THANK YOU to our anonymous donors!

Plants Sale, Get Sharp, Cake Sale,  and Curry and Rice and Curry Bunny Sale

A special thank you to everybody who did the baking and cooking for us. Your hard work is highly appreciated.

Stalls, Saturday 30 January?
